Sixty skeletons and luxury items discovered in an ancient Roman necropolis in Italy

It is noted that the cemetery, dating from the 2nd to 4th century AD, was discovered in advance of work on a solar energy project in the commune of Tuscania and is believed to be associated with a villa that served as a hotel for important travellers such as local government officials.

Archaeologists noted that jewellery was found in the graves, as well as glass, pottery, shoes and some coins, which give an indication of people of a certain wealth who could afford certain luxury items.
